Hi.
Does anyone know the easiest and most accessible way to make DVD's from the videos I take on my Iphone? Now that I've gotten my computer all nice and formatted with Windows 7, Jaws 12, and 0 viruses, I'm not anxious to go and try a bunch of freeware without recommendations from others based on accessibility and lack of malware etc.
Thanks.
Does Windows 7 still have Windows Movie Maker? My daughter has made several with that, but I still have their computer on Vista.
I haven't seen Movie Maker. It has DVD Creater but I don't think that'll work. I'm going to play around with it tomorrow. I had Movie Maker on my Vista machine but every time I would try to run it, I'd get the blue screen. Yikes.
I downloaded Movie maker to make slide shows for my music for videos on Youtube. You can download Movie maker for free. For win7, you have to download it for some reason.
Oh cool. I'll do that; thanks.
I also saw that Quicktime Pro will burn DVD's of .mov files but don't know how accessible it would be with Jaws. Itunes drives me just crazy enough to make me think that it's Quicktime cousin might be a Jaws user's nightmare. lol
Yeah, for windows 7 its the windlws live essentials
haha, yeah, i don't plan on messing with quick time. If you want to burn a DVD, get a program like A Shampoo. Its awesome! I absolutely love it!
I have a similar question regarding photos taken with the IPhone. There's one in particular that was taken of me with my cat on my lap as I'm petting him. I'd like to make it my profile page on Facebook but I've found no easy way of getting it onto my computer, much less in a form I can find just that photo and use it however I need. I've tried syncing the IPhone with ITunes and telling it to sync the photos. But afterwards when I go to Pictures I can't find it. Oh there's a folder called IPod Photo Cash but all tat's in there is Photo Database or Picture Database. So I'm not sure how to go about this. And I tried doing it directly using the IPhone itself and just going onto Facebook but that didn't work.
When you plug your iPhone in, it's look as an external device under computer or my computer in XP. Go to removeable storage and you should find it in there. That's where are your JPGs are. Good luck.
Another suggestion would be to import photos and videos. When I plug in my I-phone, the autoplay dialogue box comes up and that's the first option. Once the pics have been imported, windows photo gallory opens and there are your photos. The challenge for you, unless you have enough vision to see it, will be knowing which photo it is because they'll be numbered.
Another suggestion would be to use the Facebook app to upload it. Push Main Screen located in left top corner, then Photos is approx. 2/3 the way down the screen in the middle. Beyond that I don't know where to go, but I do use that app to look at status updates.
Well I eventually figured out that the autoplay dialogue works for my needs. Managed to get the picture I wanted of me and my kitty and upload it to Facebook. Now it just remains to experiment with the IPhone's video camera so I can start putting things up on my personal YouTube channel.
